URL Hawk converts long web addresses into short links and redirects visitors from those short links to the original destination. The service also offers custom aliases, and will offer accounts, QR Codes, and analytics as those features launch.

The core shortening service is provided free of charge and without an account. Paid features are described on the pricing section of the homepage at the time you purchase them.

You are responsible for the destinations you shorten. When you create a short link you confirm that you have the right to link to that content and that the destination complies with our Acceptable Use Policy.

• Do not shorten links to malware, phishing pages, scams, or illegal content.
• Do not use short links to disguise a destination in a misleading or deceptive way.
• Do not attempt to interfere with, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
• Do not create links or aliases that impersonate another person, brand, or organisation.

Aliases are allocated on a first come, first served basis. An alias belongs to the link it was created with and cannot be transferred while that link is active.

We aim to keep every short link working indefinitely, but we may disable links that violate these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, and we may reclaim aliases that impersonate trademarks or are used abusively.

When accounts launch, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. Where practical we will warn you first and explain what needs to change.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time and keep paid features until the end of the billing period already paid for.

Prices may change. If they do, existing subscribers are given at least 30 days notice before a new price applies to them.

URL Hawk, the hawk mark, and the urlhawk.im service are our property. You keep all rights to the content at your link destinations; shortening a link gives us only the permission needed to store and redirect it.

We work to keep the service available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, outages, and factors outside our control can affect availability.

The service is provided on an as is basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, URL Hawk is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We are not responsible for the content of destination pages. A short link passing through URL Hawk is not an endorsement of its destination.

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, for breach of these terms, legal requirements, or if the service is discontinued. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice where possible.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
